Bon Echo Encaustic

Encaustic is the process of using wax with paint to create a textured effect.
This small piece is an impressionistic detail of the shoreline and rocks of the great Bon Echo Rock at Mazinaw Lake, Ontario. The red/oxide streak is an hommage to the First Nations pictographs which adorn the Rock.
